When does a book become a best seller?
Who makes the final call before the book hits this high plateau?
Going viral in a video might help, but even that is a long shot, even longer than the usual publishing route.
I think its like being lucky enough to catch a glimpse of that rare pink-spotted shark in the ocean. A one in a million long shot that it would happen in my lifetime. LOL
Getting enough press, getting the name out there, and spending a small fortune in advertising, might turn the tide, but have fun recouping all of the losses.
Anyone have a magic solution to get our books out there to readers? Every writer believes their book is the next Harry Potter, or they wouldn’t stay in the game. It feels like poker, and everyone else is holding all the aces, while I sit with my 2 and 3 in my hands hoping to catch a lucky break.
So, in conclusion, I have to believe most writers do it for the love of doing it, not for the cash benefit. As for me, I will ‘Write On’ until the morning. I’m signed on for the long haul! How about all of you?
